How do I share my research?
This year we have an exciting line-up of speakers as well as attendance from leading organisations and businesses who desire to learn about new and innovative ways of leading and operating in a fast-changing landscape that struggles between a science-fiction future and a non-digital past.
Your experience is valuable. Your research is key. How can you contribute to the conversation? How can you / will you connect with experts, future colleagues and project sponsors?
The first step is to submit your abstract via http://journals.isss.org. This is a simple process - keywords, choose the SIG and/or theme.
The abstract gets peer reviewed. You will receive an email to let you know whether the abstract has been accepted, needs further review or rejected.
Do not be discouraged if your abstract needs further work or is rejected. The reviewers will provide comments and we highly recommend that you incorporate the feedback and resubmit your research. This process is not about 'pass' or 'fail' - it is in place endeavoring to improve your research approach (like an interview for a job) and your research.
When your abstract has been accepted, we encourage you to submit a full paper. Finalized conference papers are not required prior to the conference as it is expected that the papers will incorporate feedback and comments received when the paper is presented. However to be eligible for one of the prizes, full papers need to be received by 8th June 2017 as they are blind peer reviewed and assessed.
Full details as to how to format the paper and all the SIGs can be found in the SIG / EG Booklet. Any questions, please contact the SIG/EG Chairs who are eager to hear from you.
Don't forget to register for the conference so that you can present 'live' to fellow researchers, experts and industry.
